A change of leadership
Joshua 4:14 - -- - That day the LORD made Joshua a great leader in the eyes of all the Israelites, and for the rest of his life they revered him as much as Moses.
Moses died at the border of the promised land and Joshua took over as leader of Israel. It was at the sight of the armies and priests walking through the Jordan river on dry ground that cause Israel to see Joshua this way. God's glory was reflected off of Joshua and all he had to do was obey God's orders. Do it God's way and people will see you differently.
James says, "Be doers of the Word, not Hearers only>" Who is the WORD? JESUS!! John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word....speaking of Jesus. Do God's Will by being in a love relationship with a PERSON not a dead book. Then, there will be a glow and reflection from YOU as well. God says, "walk through the Jordan and I will open it up to be dry ground." The results were just that and it confirmed Joshua's leadership to the people. How we need to obey the voice of our saviour! We have no fruit lest we cling to the Vine. Life in the Vine is indeed a fine life.
